John 15:13 says, “No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends.”
Thank you for joining us as On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse honors the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the Gold Star families for carrying the burden of their loss.
In this reverent episode, Kristy shares her heart for remembering the fallen and lifting their families to God in prayer. She invites her husband, Army veteran Edward Graham, to share insight and the meaning of Memorial Day.
“Memorial Day to me means friendship, brotherhood,” Edward said. “Remember the survivors, the families, and the loved ones that go on. Pray for them. Pray for the survivors, that they are thriving in the name of Jesus Christ.”
The episode closes with the reading of names of service members who have died. These men and women were submitted by Samaritan’s Purse Operation Heal Our Patriots alumni. Kristy encourages listeners to share their stories, speak their names, and honor their legacy.
This Memorial Day, please pray for Gold Star families to thrive each day, grow in their faith, and lean on the local church for peace and comfort.
