This week in honor of Veteran’s Day, we are introducing you to military veterans and their spouses—families who have selflessly served our country and fought for our freedom. We are taking you to Alaska, where the Samaritan’s Purse ministry, Operation Heal Our Patriots takes place. This week-long marriage retreat is designed to provide spiritual refreshment, physical renewal and marriage enrichment to military veterans and their spouses.
Kristy Graham, podcast host of On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse, and her husband Edward Graham traveled to Quito, Ecuador to distribute Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, meet graduates of The Greatest Journey discipleship program, and encourage pastors as they work to share the Good News that can only be found in Jesus Christ. During this trip, they witnessed the life-changing impact that a simple shoebox gift can have in the life of a child and how Samaritan’s Purse uses the ministry of Operation Christmas Child to share the Gospel.
Kristy Graham, host of On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse podcast, started out early in the morning from Samaritan’s Purse International Headquarters in the mountains of North Carolina. She met up with a team loading relief supplies onto the Samaritan’s Purse DC-8 cargo plane in Greensboro, North Carolina.
